Nice rod, good price
Stout enough for good hook-sets with plastics, but just sensitive enough for smaller lures and fish.

Good Rod - Bad Reel
The rod is perfect, nothing bad about it at all. The actual reel that comes with the set is garbage though, gets caught on itself non stop and has a certain problem that I have read in other reviews here, the bail doesn't open sometimes. It literally just doesn't open then when you spin the reel a quarter of an inch it will magically work again, my uglystik is a quarter of the price and it is seamless in comparison.

Go Fish
Started fishing again for the first time in a long time. Needed some good reliable gear to get started. The Bean outfit works great; no guessing on how to pair things up. Great that it came preloaded with line. Very responsive, fun to use.

Nice combo, one flaw
Picked this up at the store yesterday and took it to the lake today. Nice to cast and comfortable in the hand.
You should be aware that this rod and reel combo does not float. A botched cast with the rain-soaked handle pulled the rod out of my hand and ended up at the bottom of the lake.
What can you do, but laugh?
