Rated 5 out of 5 by Edward from Great Mid- Layer underneath my raincoat. This makes a nice mid layer. I wear a long sleeved t shirt under it, then the hoodie and then my raincoat. I am currently near Aberdeen Washington and this is all I need for rainy chilly weather. The hood works and works under my raincoat hood. I wear this all day, five days a week and worn as a mid layer I have had no need to wash it. The sleeves are too long for me but the cuffs roll up easily and are not bulky around the wrists. The hoodie breathes well and does not clump under your clothes. The Merino wool has a smooth finish and does not itch. As far as a stand alone garment you might wish for something a little heavier but as a mid layer this is exactly what I hoped for.

I haven't worn it (other than try it on-and it fit true to size) but I can't wait to. It would be perfect for a hiking mid-layer, or to wear to a beach or camp bonfire at night.

Wish I would have gotten this sooner because I’m running out of cool days to wear it. The only suggestion I would have is putting a thumb whole in the cuff.
