Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than shorts I'm not a fan of shorts on me, so these are a nice alternative. I normally wear a large, but tried them on in the store and decided that a large had too much material around the hips and legs. The medium fit better. The waistband, while not snug, does give me a slight muffin top, but I have a spare tire there so most clothing does that to me. At 5'6, this skirt was about 3" above my knee. Easy to move in and lightweight. The shorts underneath are more like boy short style underwear. It doesn't bother me, but the legs do ride up. I got two colors at the store and ordered the color they didn't carry. These will be my "go to" casual wear instead of shorts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cute, comfortable, user-friendly I must commend LL Bean on really getting it right. THIS skirt is what women want. It's comfortable, easy to wear, has large front zipper pockets that easily hold a cell phone, and back patch pockets for other items. I can walk into a store without a cumbersome purse in tow and have my keys, wallet, and phone on me. The material is lightweight and stretchy and this skirt looks great with sandals, tennis shoes, or flats, and I also wear it for Golf cuz I have plenty of pockets for the balls and tees. This is a very stylish, functional skirt! Oh, and did I mention I love the Navy blue color!?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable, easy care I love the quality of this skort and have it in two colors. The fabric is nice, gives easily, is cool and washes up like a dream. I throw mine in the dryer for a few minutes then hang it up to finish drying. My only complaint is it’s a bit short-waisted. I’m only 5’4” but have a long torso so my waist is much higher. I don’t really see the need for the drawstrings in the waist as it’s elastic. If you tie it into a bow or knot, it creates a bulging lump under your top and makes you look heavier in the abdomen so I tuck my strings into the waist and have considered removing them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Rides Up This skirt is amazing. I am an apple shape, which means that no waistbands look good on me and this does an okay job - I think the waist band could be a bit thicker so it doesn't roll. The issue I have with this skirt is that the shorts lining the inside ride up the minute you start walking. I truly believe this could be avoided if they made the lining shorts 2" longer and a bit tighter, like a bike short. Overall the piece dries quickly and looks rather cute. I'll be looking now for a skort with longer shorts lining. Bummed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The Trail Skort is Better I purchased both this camp skort and the trail skort. totally different fit and quality. This skort's material is softer, but it's waist is too low for me, and rolls (below my mama belly). The length is a little long for my preference in a casual everyday summer shorts or skirt. The material wrinkles badly and who wants to iron summer wear? To make matters worse, the stitching is already coming apart at the hem. I like the trail version so much better for all the same reasons: higher waist, shorter length, wrinkle tolerant, and bonus side pocket, which I've been using for my phone. The trail skort also has a sweet floral pattern hidden in the zipper lining, that makes me smile.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Short in rise! I own the Camp Pant and Camp Capris. I learned with these items that sizing down provides the perfect fit. I did the same with the Camp Skort. I sized down to a small. The proportions fit me just fine. No pulling. Not tight across the middle. I’m 5’4”. I’m more legs than torso. My bust is much curvier than my behind (I don’t carry any weight in my behind). This skort fits low rise because the rise is so short in the built in shorts. My torso is so short that low rise usually fits me regular, unfortunately these do not. I don’t dislike the skort enough to return it, but the other items in this family are definitely a better fit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Big disappointment I purchased a Trail skort in the past and loved it, decided to get a second one but my size wasn't available so purchased the camp skort. Because I had liked the Trail skort so much I ignored the negative reviews ... bad decision. The length was good, although the material is lighter than the Trail skort it was still ok, it also was a looser fit, almost too loose. The disappointing part was the undershorts were horrible! They are indeed like a pair of very short bicycle shorts, very tight and would ride up into my crotch ... not at all good. I ended up cutting the shorts out, but because of the thin material it's still not perfect. Such a disappointment. I really hope that LLBean will bring back the Trail Skort in a variety of colors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Somewhat comfortable, but not flattering! This skirt has such promise! It’s a great fabric, the colors are good but the cut is not flattering. It’s gathered so it makes you look much bigger than you are because of the gathered waistband. The Vista Camp shorts have the same waistband and they are flattering. The skirt under pant is tight and hot and rides up. Not comfortable at all. LL Bean used to make a great skort. It fit well. It was cool and comfortable and it looked great on. I still Have mine but they are wearing out. Please bring it back! It was fantastic!
