Rated 4 out of 5 by from The right shoe I bought these for a week long canoe trip in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota, wanting a shoe that would handle well for long portages even when wet and muddy. They were the perfect shoe. They were comfortable on rough trails and provided plenty of stability (even with 50 pounds in my pack). They cleaned up beautifully after a couple portages through bogs with ankle deep mud, and then dried quickly. The only problem for these shoes was that with each step, as I step forward, the opening flexes wider at the outside of my ankles, allowing mud or rocks to get into the shoe. I wish there was a way to keep the rocks out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love them... with one exception. Great looking shoe. They hug your feet but breath really well. Feel great for walking on pavement or light trail. Good grip in rainy conditions. My only complaint is the heel. There is a seam where they change materials half way up the inside of the heel. The first time I wore them, this seam tore up my heels pretty good. Admittedly, I did not have very thick socks on, so my bad there. Just something to look out for. Overall, though, I am a big fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True Multisport Thank you for bring out a true multisposrt shoe again. I bought your first one years ago and wore them out. I bought the second generation and was greatly disappointed (too much like a tennis shoe). You hit a home run with this generation, better than the first. Great fit. Comfortable with or with out socks. Perfect for kayaking, stream hiking and beach running wet. The sole stays place and better quality laces.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Falling Apart I got these shoes 2 weeks ago, but already the mesh on the outside is riddled with little tears maybe 5-10 on each shoe like it is just disintegrating. The fit is good. They chafe a bit, but nothing unusual for new shoes. I them wear playing in the yard with my kid and on short walks, nothing crazy. Very disappointing for $80 shoes to just fall apart like this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great LL Bean product Sneaker fits true to size and width. Ordered a size 12, medium. The sneaker provides good support and is quite stylish. Highly recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cheaply made After wearing these for a couple months, the fabric on the top ripped where my big toe touches. This has happened on both shoes. I wear them with socks because they are very uncomfortable without. The mesh is very cheap and not durable. Definitely not worth $79.00. I used to love LL Bean, but lately the products seem to be very cheaply made, are extremely expensive and don't last.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Alan Nice looking shoe but the mesh on the blue one falls apart in no time. I also have the brown(suede)one and it seems much more durable, and for whatever reason, is much more comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty happy The shoes are narrow, but I have a narrow foot so they are OK for me but I can see them being too narrow for some people. As a shoe I'd classify it as a cross between a water shoe and a sneaker. I can wear them all day working at my stand-up desk with no problems which is a good comfort test. I've worn them for longer walks with no issues. I plan to wear them this summer on my boat to see how well they grip and I expect they will do well.
