Women's L.L. Bean Heritage Washed Denim Shirt, Long-Sleeve is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 233.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thankful to find attractive adult clothes in XS As a middle-aged lady that is fairly thin, it’s a challenge finding clothes in my size at the local mall. I order almost everything online. I ordered an XS. This is a nice, basic denim shirt that looks good layered over a blouse or t shirt. It’s more of a classic, loose cut which is what I wanted since I plan to layer it. The sides add a feminine touch. I was torn, but decided to order the darker color and really like it. My only complaint is the buttons aren’t super easy to button. But not a deal breaker. Washed once. I did iron it but only because I’m OCD about my clothes. I hope to get a lot of use from this shirt this Spring.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wardrobe Staple I have had this shirt for many months now, have worn and washed it many times. It is a wardrobe workhouse. The denim is sturdy medium weight, soft to the skin. I often wear it partially buttoned over a white tank and under a vest. I like the lighter color denim with darker color jeans. I sometimes wear medium, sometimes large in shirts. This medium fits comfortably, except the sleeves are too short for my arms. I flip the cuffs up and wear it that way. If I wanted to use it more as an over shirt I would order large. I wash it in cold water, dry on warm for 20 minutes and hang. I don’t iron it but if you’re fussy about that you’d probably iron the collar, cuffs and placket. Great shirt

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Denim I couldn't make up my mind on which denim shirt I should buy, whether the light or the dark shade. So I decided to purchase both and I'm so happy I did. The denim shirt is so comfortable and launders very well, but I do not dry my clothes in the dryer. The medium was a little large, but would be great if you wanted to wear a tee shirt or tank top under it. I opted to wear it buttoned up with a pair of jeans or sometimes I bring it along and use it as a light jacket unbuttoned. For comparison I am 5'4" 140 lbs and a 36D. Every wardrobe should have a denim shirt in it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Once in a Blue Moon I love this beautiful, well made, classic shirt. I wore one like it threadbare years ago and have been looking for a replacement since. I washed the shirt in cold water, added fabric softener to the rinse cycle, and then placed it in the dryer on cold air tumble to shake out what few wrinkles there were. I am online today ordering a second to keep “tucked away.” A shirt like this comes along but “once in a blue moon.” I don’t want to wait for the next blue moon to finally find it, again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Keeper I looked at several denim shirts before ordering this one to replace my old denim shirt that literally fell apart after years and years of wear. I saw a couple that had a bit more "style" but opted for this one because I wanted something that would wear and wear. The added bonus is that I could order this in petite to get one that fit my arms and wasn't way too long. I got the dark wash which is a dark (as expected) but I hope will fade some over time. I have worn it enough already that family members have said "I guess we know what is your favorite shirt!"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A staple wardrobe piece is back I was very happy to find this shirt after years of searching for replacements for the favorite denim tops I had a long time ago. It is a simple, classic style that can be dressed up or down with ease. Ever so slightly fitted for a flattering profile. The sleeves are a little long for me (no surprise since I'm short), but since I'm a sleeve-roller anyway, it wasn't an issue. The fabric is soft and comfortable, is a nice weight, and drapes well. I hope Bean keeps this one in stock for a long time to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect shirt Bean, you did it again! This is a wonderful shirt. The material is nice, the color is nice (I bought the darker blue), it washes and dries well with a minimum of wrinkles. If you want zero wrinkles, dry the shirt in the dryer until it's still a little damp, then hand iron it (smooth it on a flat surface with your hand-both sides) and hang it up to dry. Make sure to button all the buttons. You will be very happy with the results. I wear a petite xsmall. The fit is perfect. i could wear a little something under it but i don't think I will. I like this shirt as a stand-alone shirt. It's that nice. I wouldn't mind if it were a little shorter, but that's me, and I'm from an earlier generation. I hope you all buy one and enjoy wearing it. I sure will. And, thanks Bean!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good quality very casual blouse This is a nice quality denim blouse that did not shrink when partially dried. However, the double pockets, along with the washed-out light color, really dresses down an outfit when worn as an overblouse thus limiting its use for me. It is perfect for very casual wear. Overall, I am getting a little bored with LLBean's shift in recent years towards more casual outdoor wear. I would like to see more tops with prints, etc. that would make them a tad bit dressier. I find I am returning more items due to inconsistent fit, shrinkage and frumpy style. Plus, the logo in the chest area is a no-go for me.
