Men's Water-Resistant Cresta Hiking Zip-Off Pants is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quite good all round hiking pants Bought two pair of these for a ten day trip hiking in Jasper and Banff. They fit well and I was able to wash and dry them overnight in the hotel sink. Weather was changeable in late June to early July so I wore them both long and short with the bottoms unzipped off. They are not rain pants but they did pretty well keeping me dry even in light periodic rain except one day when it rained hard. While not wide, their width on the bottom makes them very prone to getting muddy and dirty on sloppy trails (gaiters might help). Fortunately they wash easily.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Details Good fit and comfortable. Left and right should be marked on the zip offs. Zippers at the bottom of the legs would allow them to be removed without removing hiking boots. These are, after all hiking pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good and flexible I have trouble finding pants long enough for me, but these actually were a bit long (but not complaining). Were light, yet warm when needed a bit, and the ability to make them shorts was extremely useful. Warm for our tip to Ireland and Scotland, and cool enough and became shorts in Rome's hot weather. Would like the front pockets to be zippered as well, but very happy with them. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants Fit perfect and were great for our trip to Alaska. They are the only pants that I could find in inseam sizes rather than the traditional S, M, L.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good camping pants took these on a rather wet camping weekend, and wore them most of the time. they are lightweight enough to stash in my day pack. They dry quickly. Kept the mosquitos away at night without being too heavy. I am quite satisfied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Timberledge or Cresta I am a fan of the discontinued timberledge pants. I still wear them, but this was my alternative to replace a pair. On these, the fabric is lighter weight, the belt loops aren't as good (and the timberledge actually came with a belt), and I miss the large "kangaroo" pockets on the side/back. So I'm still getting used to the zippered cargo pockets on these, but for some uses the zippered pockets will probably be more secure for carrying small items. I do like the specific inseam lengths available for these, the early timberledge pants were a bit long with cinches at the ankles, and I don't miss the zippered cuffs for removal of the zip off legs. I didn't think they were necessary. I did choose these because of the new water repellent fabric, but I haven't been in a situation yet to test that feature. It will be nice if they shed a light rain, or splash when fishing. All in all, they seem like they will be a decent replacement for my previous go-to nylon pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent pants The pants fit well and appear well-made. The zippers on the legs (to convert the pants into short pants) are color-coded so you get the correct leg on the correct side. i've worn the pants on 3 fairly long day-hikes, and have been pleased.
