Women's Trail Model Rain Coat is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 81.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waterproof I bought this in a petite medium to fit over an ultralight down coat which is thigh length ( also from LLBean). It is the perfect length...fits right at the knees and completely covers the coat.. I have not worn it yet...plan to use it mostly when I travel overseas. But I like the style, the color (blue..which is almost same color as coat), and that it has zippered pockets. Pockets are a bit low but other than that I think it is going to be perfect especially if you want to travel light... and you can just throw it in a backpack.Oh, has two way zipper. Velcro does not seem to bother clothing...like a scarf you might be wearing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Selecting the Size I purchased this raincoat to replace a similar LLBEAN raincoat that I've enjoyed for 10 years. Both are size Medium. I like the new zipper breast pocket and the drawstring waist adjustment. However this new raincoat appears to be cut slightly slimmer than my old one; consequently it's snug when worn over several winter layers. For wearing over fleece and down layers I'd recommend purchasing one size larger than usual. I don't know how that would affect sleeve length, but with velcro at the cuff it shouldn't be an issue. Worn over usual clothes it fits fine and silhouette looks trim. i expect to enjoy it for many years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ruined by logo I just got this raincoat today and have been looking forward to having a go-with-everything black coat. However, I was instantly turned off by the prominent logo on the left front and never tried it on. I marked "true to size" because I had to click something to submit the review, but I really have no idea how it fits. It's still in the sealed plastic bag it came in, and it's going back tomorrow. There is only one other raincoat I would have considered, the Meridian, but it apparently has a cranky zipper. I've already had to deal with quite a few of those. No thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great petite xs sizing! I tried on the xs reg. & the xs petite. For me being really petite, the xs petite was a perfect fit. Good length for the arms & length of coat. This is my 3rd trail model rain coat & I still have the 1st two coats. Both are several years old & 1 is the 1st Bean rain coat I tried out. (This coat is not in the best of shape anymore) I can tell the new coat has many improvements. I like them & keep coming back for more because they are so light weight. Living in FL, you need that. I use them for pet sitting, walking dogs, etc. I own horses & these coats have been a life saver. My husband has a trail model rain coat too. So yeah, I would recommend to a friend!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from don't like changes This was to replace my Trail Model Raincoat from a few years ago; the changes to the style are not pluses. Those of us over 50 don't need a "waist" added to what was a very comfortable coat. The bit of elastic in the sleeve (cuff) is no more so cinching the velcro makes a big gap --- not attractive. The hood on my old one disintegrated and is held together with clear packing tape. Still a much better coat than the new design -- has same kind of hood (that didn't change!) so I will be returning. I wanted to like it, but don't.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but needs improvements It did not say in the description, but in addition to the double zipper entry there is a velcro closure for when you don't want to zip it, which is nice. I bought this for travel so zippered pockets were a must and I like the access of the chest pocket. Also a must, was velcro at the wrist - however, they must think women's wrists are 10 inches around! You cannot get it truly snug around the wrist due to the velcro placement, which defeats the purpose of keeping rain out. And the arm sleeves are ridiculously long! Also, I ordered a large and would consider myself an average weight, although curvy, and the fit is snug - not enough to order an xlarge, but snug for what I would consider a large size. I will test out the waterproof part on our trip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sizing way off I have been looking for a light weight raincoat. I live in the south so never wear heavy garments. After reading all of the reviews, I decided to take a chance. As usual, the garments are not adequately large in the hips which is why I went up from my normal medium to a large. The hip just does work. All is OK except the sleeves. They are really long and must be rolled up. Additionally, the waist adjustment is 6" below my waist. Do not plan to cinch it up. Not sure why Bean feels that women do not have hips. Have returned many coats because of this problem. The coat is not attractive; however, I bought it for those 2 days a year when the rain is very heavy and I must go out in it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Misrepresented/Poor Quality This coat is a very thin nylon and does not look at all as robust as it does online. I never would have paid $129 for something as cheap looking and as flimsy as this is. It most definitely does not look like it would keep a raindrop off your body, but even if it would, you would need layers underneath it to give you any warmth. I'm furious this was so misrepresented and that I have already thrown away the packaging and slip. When I opened this, my thought was I must have bought this on sale for a summer rain. I didn't remember buying this until I looked up my purchases. I'm livid,
