Men's L.L.Bean Hi-Pile Fleece Pullover is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 72.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wouldn't recommend fleece from another brand Quality. That is the way I would describe this pullover. Well made, just as everything else from L.L.Bean. One thing to be aware of is that I ordered the XLT due to my height and I think it is the perfect length to wear a t-shirt underneath, but if you wanted to layer this with a sweater or hooded sweatshirt that is also "jacket length" then it might be a little too short for you. You would have to be going out into some extreme temperatures if you did layer with a heavier undershirt though, as this product is very warm. I am very satisfied with this product and really can't name a brand that competes in the pullover category for tall guys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing coziness I purchased one of these last year for myself in womens, and my teenage sons wanted one of their own. I bought three of these this year -- one for each of my sons and one for my husband for Christmas. They arrived in July, and my kids did not want to wait for Christmas for me to give it to them -- despite the 100 degree temperatures! I can't say enough good things about this fleece -- it is warm, but not too warm that you can't wear it as an inside sweatshirt in the wintertime. It is a little bit bulky to wear as a layer under an outer jacket, unless you have a roomy jacket, but I would say 100% worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ahhhhmazing!! Wow! My goodness, I can't brag enough about how much I love these hi-pile pulovers. They are super cozy and wash/dry (inside-out) with ease on cold/low. The colors are rich and go great with jeans, chinos, leggings, etc. I opted for the mens size because they have longer sleeves as I am a taller gal. I highly recommend these and I'm planning on buying the rest of the colors. Thanks LL Bean; super fab product you've got here!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sheds Oh my! Great fuzzy fleece but it sheds like an animal. Clumps of the fleece come out after first wash. Hard to believe, I guess they should have used Polartec fleece instead of whatever they used. So sad. I really wanted an alternative to p’gonia retool. Not a good product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not quite Have an ancient LLBean high pile pullover fleece that I love (my wife perennially wants to throw it out as its getting raggedy) and I was hoping this new one would be equivalent. It's not bad but definitely not the same quality. It's warm and not bad looking. But it is difficult to put on and take off as the material "drags" against my shirt. A smooth lining would help. Would also benefit from a drawstring at the waist and tighter cuffs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average Fleece I wouldn't call this high pile fleece its ok but not in the catagory of 300 weight fleece. The sleeves are way to long which has been an issue with LL Bean clothing for years now. It never used to be that way!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs work...A tad on the short side Really want to be able to give this thing 4-5 stars. The fit is almost good, but the torso is on the short side. Even with my hands down, it barely comes down to my belt level (i.e. not quite to my hips). And, I'm on the shorter/average side of height. If I do anything remotely close to raising my arms, the bottom of the jacket will wind up as high as my naval/belly button. Also wish they put in a draw cord base like most fleece jackets have for the bottom waist area, and I wish the elastic in the cuffs of the sleeves had more elasticity. The cuffs feel like someone has already worn the thing with the sleeves pulled up on the forearms for a few years. Aside from that particular sizing issue, the high pile fleece is extremely soft, comfortable, and warm. If you're over 5' 6'' and around the same build as I am, you may want to look into a Tall size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft inside and out I have had some fleece and Sherpa pullovers/jackets that are soft on the outside but they have a rough uncomfortable inside like why? My Girlfriend has the women's version of this so i knew this pullover is not like that it is super soft inside and out the only parts inside that are not soft are in front of the pockets. It really keeps me warm in these fall temps. As my GF likes to do I have been wearing it as my shirt with nothing under it because it is so comfy feeling the fleece against my skin.
