Rated 5 out of 5 by from LT Is For The Big Guy Very nice jacket! Well made. The guy I'm buying for is about 6' tall and 180 lbs. This LT jacket would probably fit a guy 6'2" and another 50 lbs. It's BIG. Not tall slender, but tall and BIG! So, this should be sized as LTB. Large Tall Big! Most likely this style will look slimming on your big guy though - and the sleeve length is great for LTB. It's not gonna shrink (100% polyester fleece), so it has to go back for an exchange down to a smaller size. This blue color is very nice for casual or even dressy casual. Not happy that it has to go back. I'm rating it 5 stars as this is a quality item that you would expect from LL Bean.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Warm yet Confortable I recently purchased the Sweater Fleece Jacket (Large), and find it very warm and comfortable. The best part is having a full length zipper, which can be used as you go from indoors to outside. The zipper allows you to adjust to changing heat levels easily, and not have to take the fleece on and off, as with so many other fleece products. I chose the slightly fitted version, which fits me perfectly. As usual with most L.L. Bean products, excellent quality and workmanship. Looking forward to using it all winter here in N.J.,where it can be 5 degrees at 6AM, and 45 degrees by 2PM on the same day.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from sizing problems I have a Bean fleece jacket that I love that I've had for several years. If it were still being made, I'd buy another in a heartbeat. This one looked to be as close as I could get to it with pocketing and its weight. I received one this last Chrismas, and was glad to get it. However, the fit is nowhere close to the other jacket I have. A large is too big and a medium is too tight, because of where the item is made snug and where it's long or short. I would keep it if I could find one that fit. It's another of several examples of where Bean has not left well enough alone... you go back to find an item you love, and they've changed it or it's been deleted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Same jacket, same great quality This is the same Men's LL Bean Sweater Fleece that was previously offered under the product number TC291673, only now the jacket has the 'heritage Katahdin logo' on the front left breast. It's still a fantastic jacket. The fleece is soft, it'll presumably hold up well to the elements like the previous jacket, and I'm glad the zipper has a strip of material behind it to block the wind from coming through. I'm actually really fond of the logo. I feel like this is an extremely good competitor to the classic Patagonia fleece jacket with a way to represent LL Bean to show for it. I'll be picking up several more colors soon especially given the price point compared to aforementioned Patagonia fleeces which are $120+.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Layer This jacket is exceptionally warm compared to an old fashioned knitted sweater. It is not water resistant but it's wind resistant. I have been using it mainly indoors but it is certainly good as an inner layer in winter conditions, or an outer layer in cool "shoulder seasons" where you'd wear what used to be called a spring coat. It has pockets, a helpful feature. Size is slightly large. My being tall presents a size problem. A large would be floppy loose on me but my arms would stick out of the sleeves using a medium. The medium tall works very well, just slightly large both in length and girth.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable I purchased my first LLB fleece jacket two years ago, same size, and really love it. I would give it 5 stars, easily! I just purchased the same size, but different color jacket. It is nice, but I am a little disappointed from the first jacket. First, this one is a little bigger than the one I purchased two years ago, it does not fit quite right. Second, LLB decided to put a name tag on the front breast of this new jacket which makes it a little less appropriate for using in more professional settings like office meetings. I really wish it did not have the label, or at least, that it was less obtrusive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit. Perfect jacket. I absolutely love this jacket. I'm tall and thin and the medium regular fits me perfectly. It's not a huge wind stopper, but most fleece isn't. It's perfect for those mildly cool days on it's own or cold days with a few layers underneath. The jacket looks as great as it feels, too! Some people have complained that it sticks to long sleeves and should have a nylon lining. While I do agree that it sticks to sleeves, it's not really an issue for me. Just hold the jacket sleeve while removing your arm and you're good to go. All-in-all... great jacket. I'd love to own a second one soon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile and comfortable i bought this jacket for our two sons. Our 6’1”, 210 lb. son had a perfect fit with a large. He has long arms, and the jacket was perfect. He could even wear a thick shirt or lighter sweater under it. Our son who is 5’10”, 165 lb. had a roomy fit, but could accommodate a heavy sweater under it. Since he will be using it in a cold climate, this will be perfect. If wearing just the jacket, I would get him a medium. It is not a skimpy cut. Very soft and versatile. It has a more polished look than fleece.. I bought one for myself, and wear it all the time. It's comfortable with temps in the 50's with a long sleeve shirt.
