I have purchased at last 10 pairs that survived months of hiking, snorkeling, sailing, swimming laps and daywear. My old purchases successfully survived and were replaced after long activity. However, this season, I treated myself to three pairs of new ones. After ten weeks of swimming laps, hot-tubbing and poolside relaxing, all three pairs have faded into a puke-like color. Don’t buy them if you are going to get them wet every day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mark from Weak elastic in waist makes for a poor product I really wanted to like these but found that the elastic in the waist was very loose/weak. The only way to keep them on is to rely almost totally on the drawstring In that sense I am disappointed with this purchase. I kept them only because they offer sun protection. In my opinion these are not up to LL Bean standards.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Winter from These shorts are not as short as advertised 6” inseam is not 6”. I bought these as short shorts and they’re actually quite long. I usually wear xl and got a large, they’re too big.
