Rated 5 out of 5 by from Found one to keep!!!! So, bathing suit shopping. I am a petite (5'0") 8-10 in tops and a 4 in bottoms so separates bathing suit shopping is great and Bean's prints and colors were nice. I was close to buying the bandeau even though it was styled with curves and cleavage in a way I did not like. Then I found the straight across style I prefer in this suit. It also was more comfortable since there is no wiring in the bust area. AND adjustable straps: a must have since I was buying a 10 regular size. I like the ruching across the torso also. Have not worn it yet but if nothing goes wrong I will keep this for years along with the mid-rise skort. Happy to have found them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Suit but no D cup I've tried a few LLBean suits over the years and the quality has been great but the support is not there. It seems that all your suits are designed with smaller cup size in mind. This tankini top is beautiful and fit well in other ways but the cup size was too small for me. I'm a 36DD. Please consider broadening your sizes to include more cup sizes. I don't mind the internal shelf bra but it's too shallow for me. Unfortunately this will be returned. I would recommend this suit to a friend with smaller cup size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely to wear, but hard to take off! Snug fitting top, but that's what I wanted to hold my old body in shape for swimming. The built in bra is just enough, without being restrictive. My only issue is this: after the pool, trying to get the top off is really a chore. It clings to the body, and needs to be peeled up, bit by bit, to get over my head and off. But I'll put up with that, because of the fit and comfort.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too tight & squareneck's not for everyone I'm a size 4 petite in clothes and reg 6 in bathing suits for bust coverage. This suit covered but was uncomfortably tight esp in the armpit area. So tight my "fat" there bulged, and I'm not fat. I recommend buying a size larger than your usual and I would exchange for that but ....the squareneck looks great on the young model in the photos but not on me in my 60's.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice fit Very much liked the fit and feel of this top. Appreciated the no underwire which I find "painful". Design "controls" some of my expanding midriff without being "squeezy".

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extra baggage This tankini looks so cute in the catalog and online, however, wearing it is another story. When I tried it on, I had an extra layer of fat under my armpits that I didn't know I had! I am a size 6 and tried on two different sizes (10 and 12). Bottom line, the elastic on the tankini is way to tight to be comfortable. I sent both back for a full refund.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Redesigns Always Ruin a Good Thing I would buy this swimsuit year after year; it combined all the elements of a swimsuit that I wanted. This year I am not sure what happened but the overall fabric seems cheaper, the construction felt shabby, and the cut was terrible. Last year's swimsuit, which saw 50+ wearings in one season still feels more luxurious than this. Unfortunately, the worst part for me was the fit as it appears the overall style has changed. The straps are so far apart across they were basically in my armpits. That caused the top edge of the suit that ran across my chest to look super wide, oddly flat because of how straight it laid, and ultimately unflattering. The picture on the model doesn't really convey, in my opinion, how wide the straps really are in the front. It was such a disappointment because this suit, every other year prior, had a different styling. Lastly the pattern, in person, looked very juvenile art splatter to me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Square neckline not flattering with large chest I did not like the fit of this top. The square neckline was not flattering on me as I'm large chested and the top just emphasized the chest without being flattering. I much preferred the cut of the Slimming Swimwear Tankini (also LL Bean). I returned this top and bought two of the other cut. This might look better on a smaller chested woman.
