Men's L.L.Bean's 1912 Stretch Corduroys, Standard Fit is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 160.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just As Advertised Great look, soft feel and a comfortable fit but ... a very interesting phenomenon happens when I wear these pants. When I walk for five or more minutes my belt buckle travels from the center of the pants to the left, and is only stopped from travelling further by the first belt loop. I've been wearing pants my whole life and have never experienced this before. It's definitely the pants as I've tried several other belts and it happens to each one. It's not a problem per se other than needing to adjust my belt buckle after a sustained walk of five or more minutes, but very strange indeed! Anyone else experience this with these pants?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Durab Durable, well made corduroy. Love the color and feel of these. My issues are with the fit and size. Im not a fan of low rise pants and tried to determine if these were low rise In the store. They are low rise, which is unfortunate for most men as you end up pulling your pants up or risk exposing your backside. I would have loved these in the classic fit I’m sure. I should have gone with a 36, as I’m pretty sure these have shrunk over time (or I’ve gained some). Either way, that’s mostly on me, but I do think these are the nicest pair of corduroy I’ve ever owned. Others I’ve had, the fabric wears down and becomes bald or exposed. These have held up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Several years ago (not sure of the exact year/date but perhaps 2014), I purchased two pairs of LL Bean "Standard Fit" corduroys, item #272455, 100% cotton, which I enjoyed wearing exclusively in the winter. Since one pair was starting to show wear around the knees, I decided to replace it with a similar one. Unfortunately, what I found was a pant that was cheaper in material (lighter fabric, a 80/20 combination of cotton and lycra) and more expensive then the older pairs that I owned. Other reviewers on this site had similar observations and complaints. Ultimately, these pants may get a couple of season's wear so I will be returning them and looking elsewhere.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy with them This is the third pair of LL Bean corduroys I have gotten. I like them. The first pair was so comfortable - I wore it constantly and wore through the seat of that pair after heavy usage. I got another pair - different color - and then this is my third pair. I will say, the fit is good, the pants are relatively comfortable. The downside to me is that A) they don't seem to hold up perfectly and B) the last two pairs I've gotten are definitely a bit stiffer, less comfortable. Seems like it is new material. Overall though a good pair of corduroys at a reasonable price. They fit well and look sharp.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from "Short guys" I've purchased lots of clothes/pants/waders/boots...etc...etc.. from LL Bean over the years...both online and at the store in Freeport. Your quality is always very good..and your lifetime guarantees are unsurpassed. I wish you made pants/jeans/cords in shorter lengths...even 28" would be fantastic. Every time I buy pants/jeans..I have to have them add another $12-$20 to the initial purchase cost. Just a suggestion...I'm sure you get many.. Merry Christmas! "Shorty"

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Bottom line: Don't buy these. I ordered these cords with the same waist and length measurements as other pants I've ordered from LL Bean. The others all fit well. These cords, however, were ridiculously tight, and the length is too long. In addition, I ordered the Standard Fit, and the inside label says "Standard Fit". They are supposed to sit below the waist, but these cords sit above my waist line. There are at least two other reviews with sizing problems. Seems to be a chronic issue with these pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants - Questionable sizing I take a 34 inch waist so I ordered these in 34. They were way too tight by 2 or 3 inches. So I exchanged them for a 36. They were about 1 inch too big but fine with a belt. I wore them for a week and liked them so much I ordered another pair with a 35 inch waist and they fit perfectly. So they look to run 1 inch small. But that 1st 34 inch pair was definitely at least 2 inches smaller then it should have been. Other than that I really like these pants, the asphalt grey looks great and are nice and warm for the winter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sizing issues I have had Bean corduroy pants before and found they shrank a bit and got tight in the waist and hips. This time I ordered a waist size larger than my 32 which gave way too much room for me at that area while the thighs were too tight. They are skin tight when I sit and feel tight as I walk. I can't mess with sending things back and trying other sizes. Used to be I'd order pants with 32 in waist and they were reliably sized. No longer. I am not buying from Bean anymore.
