Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great design This was the perfect upgrade for my 8th grade daughter who had had the smaller lunch boxes from LL Bean. Great bright colors and design which went went with her purple LL Bean pack; this has a different pattern but they work well together. We like the larger room in the lid for drinks or big fruit and especially liked the shoulder strap for when her hands are full getting on the bus. This box has smart front zipper pocket, sturdy but flexible rubber handle and a helpful name tag inside. I bought one of these for both of my sons in a plain color to go with their packs and the reflective strips on all are handy for dark AM bus times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love this lunch box I am back purchasing my 2nd LL Bean lunch box for our son today. He's had his first one for almost 5 years now and while it is in fine shape, he'd like to "upgrade" from dinosaurs to sharks to match the backpack Grandma and Grandpa got him for Christmas last year. I prefer this style of lunch box as it works with our reusable lunch containers and doesn't leave them standing on their side to leak all over the inside like the rectangular style of lunch bag do. The water bottle my son uses is a bit longer than the inside section designed for it, but that section works great for small bags of chips or crackers and keeps them from getting crushed. Definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flip-top Lunch Box This lunchbox has lasted several years for both my son and daughter. My daughter eats A TON and you can stuff this lunchbox full of food! I often don't put a beverage container in the top, but fill that with food too. My only reservation is that you can't put plastic knives in the lunchbox -- eventually they slice through the lining and you start losing insulating properties.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Want to give it 5 stars but can’t! First of all, I ordered on line for in-store pickup. That was SO convenient! I bought the blue camo version of this for my 5th grader. This is a very nice looking lunchbox. It’s roomy and has both a handle and a long strap so that you can carry it anyway you want. Unfortunately, we found a tear in the inner lining of the lunchbox today - he’s only used the box five days!!! SO DISAPPOINTED. I’m hoping the folks at L. L. Bean will follow up on this message. I’ve really never, ever had a problem with their products. I still have my L. L. Bean backpack from when I was in college back in the 80’s!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mom approved Great lunch kit that matches his new Deluxe backpack perfectly ! ( We got the camp backpack and lunch kit for my son, he picked it out ) Sturdy construction , love the handle, and we just use lunch box organizers to keep food inside , so we keep it clean. The lid is big enough to stash a juice box or pouch, but honestly, we use it for freezer packs to keep everything fresh. My 10 year old loves it, and loves the pranks from his teacher's that they didn't see his bag and lunch kit because it is camouflaged . We did pay for the custom embroidery, it came out nice and I don't have to add a Mom tag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I normally take my lunch to many events and places and wanted a lunch box that did not look juvenile and was functional. I love this lunch box. I got the flower printed box and I love how you can put the ice pack on the bottom and anything you want to stay dry in the netted area on the lid of the box. I love the zippered pocket in the front for silverware, napkins etc. I also like the strap, so I can just throw it over my shoulder. It blends in perfectly with my purse and I do not feel out of place with this lunch box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the best I may have written 3 reviews in my life so far, but while searching for a lunch box for my soon to be kindergartner, decided I wanna take time for this. I was searching only because I would have liked some other boy options for the print on this lunch box. Personally, I have been frustrated with many lunch box designs (I have 6 children, my youngest is the one headed to kindergarten). Retangular, stand ups? Here I am trying to stack containers and close it before they topple out. Lay them down flat to pack? Fine, as long as you have no containers that will leak liquid when placed upright. But this L.L. Bean design? SUPER. Very durable (nice if I'd found em with my oldest), larger but with the soft sides still easy for a small child to carry, AND designed to be packed and set down horizontally not vertically!! To me that last one is the best feature. Worth the price also because they last so long. My fifth grader has used hers for 4 or 5 years. The lining has a few small pin poke holes, outside looks great. Ok, :), enough said. Thanks L.L. Bean!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too Small This is a perfect lunch box for a child, but not an adult. A water bottle only just fits in the lid. It is too narrow for most containers to fit into the bag. A great snack bag. The quality is good, although the zipper is a little rough and does not move with ease. Very pretty patterns, and just wish it was a little larger.
