No stand included - Ugh!
We purchased this expensive set (in comparison to competitors) because we have always loved Bean quality. When it arrived it did not come with a stand. Every set I reviewed from competitors came with a stand. One of the images for this item even shows it in a stand. I went back after I purchased and saw no mention of it coming without a stand. Then when I scrolled to the bottom of the page, I saw it in a small bullet. Very disappointing. What croquet set doesn’t come with a case or stand to store the many components of it?

Hooray for croquet!
We have a larger family and try to be frugal, so this was a big purchase for us. Croquet is a great outdoor activity in the time of Covid because you can keep 6 feet apart with normal game play AND each person has their own ball and mallet. We bought this when it was on sale, and justified the cost (relative to cheaper versions) because we are trusting that if parts are defective or break with normal use, we can get a replacement. We couldn't justify the cost of the storage bag, and we are storing the set in a plastic "under bed" style box. Everything is very solidly made. The mallets, wickets and goal posts are super sturdy. The balls are not wooden, but maybe that is a thing of the past. We are pleased with the purchase and had many happy games over the summer.

Good quality
This set is really well made but the price is a little outrageous for the product. Would not order again but go with a cheaper alternative. How hard could this be to produce?
