Rated 5 out of 5 by from a lovely thing.. linen,in blue. it's very nice, true to size , worth the money , but honey, it ain't indigo, or navy it is dark, but soft and powdery , like chambray blue. i like it even better than i would have liked the indigo. the same might be true for you. i wish llbean had more lovely blouses in plus sizes because ... well, i'm a big girl and i deserve the best just as the rest, my smaller sisters, ,do. more. please more. dont make me go to any other store , bean, please, please more ...i bought the aqua, too, but it is mint green.your description of color is not real good .... i know you could do better , you know what i mean? you are LLBEAN!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sale find! If you like natural fibers and can find them at a great sale price it is a win/win situation. I found this beautiful shirt on the LLBean sale rack and have worn it as an outer layer for hiking, a cover layer with a green T-shirt for going out to eat. Lightweight, it is comfortable. Has plenty of shoulder room for my arms and moves freely for possible fly fishing trips. The only downside to this shirt as with any linen shirt is that it must be ironed. It does pack down and I have found that ironing it prior to packing helps in making sure the it doesn't wrinkle. Loved this shirt while hiking in GA as it offered a great deal of versatility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soak in vinegar water to soften linen As others have mentioned the linen in these shirts is fairly stiff and a bit scratchy. I bought some a few years ago that I found myself not wearing for that reason. Finally I googled a solution and found excellent results by soaking the shirt overnight in a solution of 1 cup white vinegar to 1 gallon water. The shirts are now soft and comfortable and wrinkles also fall out a bit easier. This years shirts are no exception. I ordered by normal size which is large and tunic like until washed and dried and now it fits more normally. Very happy with them after using the vinegar trick.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a tunic I was disappointed in this shirt, which I got in the Soft Indigo color (red and blue plaid). First of all, I wouldn’t call it a tunic, as the cut is very similar to two other regular M Bean shirts I bought at the same time, except a little smaller. Also, I wouldn’t say that it has a soft hand. It arrived fairly crisp, and and came out of the dryer (on low heat) extremely wrinkled. If you put it in the dryer, plan to iron. I intend to rewash it and hang to dry, which I should have done in the first place. That said, it is a well-made shirt, and the plaids match! I hope it gets softer after repeated washings.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I wanted to like this shirt, but I'll acknowledge up front that I was hoping this shirt was NOT tunic length and ordered the petite for that reason. I'm usually a perfect Large in Bean clothing but buy XL if I want it really roomy, and I prefer loose clothing for summer. This shirt is true to size (big) in the torso but weirdly snug in the upper sleeves and pulls across the shoulders. I don't mind the look of washed linen and don't even own an iron, but this comes out of the dryer with the sleeves hanging like badly wrinkled sausages. I can't see sizing up to a 1X to get more shoulder space because it would be even longer and wider. So even though I love the print and fabric, I'm giving up and sending it back. ☹️

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Tunic, but did not work for me. Loved the shirt, and color (blue check), but the fit was too snug across the shoulders for me. The construction was good, the sleeve length was generous, and I thought the linen was of good quality. I generally take an XL or 1X - and in this shirt, the XL was just a bit too small. I also did not care for the very deep tails - I like the tunic length, but the slits on the side (which came up pretty high) were not flattering on my apple shape. Given that, I decided not to size up to a 1X, and sadly returned the shirt. I would still recommend, but I do not think it is a good choice for apple shaped bodies like mine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Boxy fit I'm a little disappointed with the fit of this shirt. Unlike the last two linen shirts I bought from Bean, the fit on this one is boxy. It's comfortable, but not as flattering as there is no shaping to the body. also, you can't get away with no ironing. The wrinkles are intense after washing. I also feel the need to cuff the sleeves to the elbow as it looks overwhelming with the sleeves down. I'm keeping it, as it looks good tucked in with sleeves rolled up. Just consider the fit and ironing issue before buying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Georgeous shirt I ordered the color that has lavender and navy. The shirt is gorgeous. The shirt is linen, so it wrinkles while wearing, from sitting, and has to be ironed. BUT it is gorgeous as I mentioned. If you are between a medium and large get the medium because it runs large. I like to layer shirts so generally get large, but should have gotten a medium. It's a 5 star shirt if you are aware that it is linen and runs a little large. The quality of construction & plaid matching at seams is high quality.
