Men's Ridge Runner Soft-Shell Pants is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect. I bought these for a rifle trip for elk in Montana. Wore the first 2 days of the trip and stayed very comfortable with a mid weight merino base. (Got a nice 6x6). The hunt was active and the Temps ranged from -5*F to 15*F. They blocked wind well, water beaded and didn't soak, and were breathable to evaporate sweat. I wore a lighter pant as it warmed up later in the week. I've since worn them in the whitetail woods and the have performed well with normal Virginia muzzleloader and rifle Temps stand hunting, 20's to 50's. The vent zipper can be irritating without long underwear but not that bad, I like the vent. I wear 32x34 normally and ordered 32x33 and they are slightly large but it works well to layer. 6 ft. 180 lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Progress As a kid, hunted with mostly cotton (all we had, or at least in price range). As we got older moved to synthetics and itchy wool as had a little more funds. 30 years of hunting in, merino wool linings, and soft shell synthetics are my prime go to.. Durable, quick drying, light weight, good temp range, all great features whether hunting Montana, or home state of Michigan. I haven’t noticed thigh zipper issue, maybe cause wear thin liner, but not always. Very comfortable to wear, zippers great for walk-in and not heating up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from What is with zippers on inner thighs? Okay for fabric...was looking for warm and waterproof, but tho I measured first and went smaller, they were still waaay too large. Would have reordered smaller size but the inner thigh zippers made them something I didnt want. Returned.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Soft shell pants If it wasn't for the inside vent zipper, these would be five stars and would be keeping them. Unfortunately the vent zippers are uncomfortable and chaff the inside of the leg. Returning them thanks to Beans 100% satisfaction policy.
