Men's Mountain Classic Anorak is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 150.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent light layer I had one of these in the early 90s and was excited to see it offered again. It is pretty much exactly like I remember - a nylon anorak. It is lightweight, but does a good job cutting the wind and pairs well with a light fleece to temperatures in the mid 40s if you are active. It happened to lightly rain when I was wearing it, the water beaded off and cleared with a bit of a shake. Don't expect it to keep you dry in all day rain, or a downpour. It isn't goretex or one of the latest high tech fabrics. What it is is a good simple anorak that looks nice and stows away in a backback for a nice fall or spring walk in the woods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am ADDICTED! This is now the 6th (!!!) Anorak pullover I have purchased in less than a year. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this product. The spacious dual pockets, layer and stow-ability makes the Anorak the most versatile and best looking jacket I’ve ever owned. I began wearing it so regularly that I knew I had to get a few more so I could get away with wearing one everyday...’cause ya know, fashion. It’s rare that I don’t get compliments on it when wearing it out and about, regardless of if I’m hiking, biking to work, or at the bar. Just add it to your cart and checkout already, you won’t regret it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from flimsy cloth poorly designed This garment is nothing close to the original. The cloth is very thin and flimsy. I wore this on a hike yesterday and it barely kept out the wind, the sleeves are too short and ride up while wearing a backpack, the elastic waist and cuffs are cheaply made and cannot be tightened to keep out the wind. I was expecting a technical fabric replacement of the original rugged canvas style top, this is at best a spring/summer weight "Breeze" stopper that doesn't justify the space it takes in a backpack, don't waste your cash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Wind Shell Great shell for hiking (or walking the dog). I usually wear a medium, but purchased a Large to layer over my quilted jacket. That said, it's not so big as to be ungainly when just layered over a shirt. It is a quality product. The material is soft to the touch (feels more like cotton than a synthetic), and the deep zipper allows it to open and breathe. More, it really does a great job breaking the wind. Last week on the headlands at Pt. Reyes Nat'l Seashore it was blowing 30 mph. I was comfortable, my friend, not so much. Too, the zip chest pocket is great for stashing a map. This is now a staple in my pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mountain Classic Anorak I've been looking for something like this, specifically for travel, for quite a while now. Something That would keep me dry in wet weather, hood mandatory, lightweight, and that I could wear over layers. This really fits the bill. I'm 6'3", 230 so I bought the XXL Tall and I'm glad I did as it's a perfect fit, with room to wear it over anything from a t shirt, to a shirt, and or a fleece layer for warmth. Love the fact that this fits neatly into its own front pocket and very happy with the spruce color too. This will live in the front pouch of my suitcase for now on. For someone that likes to pack light it's great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Wind Shell This Anorak proved to be the breathable weather resistant layer that I was looking for. I paired it with a medium weight L.L. Bean wool top and set off on a brisk walk in 30°- 40° weather with a good wind blowing across a lake. It rained lightly on me, though nothing pooled up on the fabric. The kangaroo pocket is excellent for a large cellphone, gloves when you get too hot or a plastic doggie clean-up bag. There are additionally hand pockets as well. Hits: breathability, durability. Misses: lots of loose threads to remove (quality control), color different from photo (actually more cinnamon than orange). That’s why no Excellent rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful traditional style Much lighter than I expected...in a good way. The fabric is soft & supple. Feels like cotton, though it is nylon...or supplex? Packs down small, but looks great when you pull it out. So stylish. You have to be into pull overs to really appreciate this. If zip on jackets are your thing, you might find this cumbersome to put on & off. But if style & form of function are your bag, this is for you. One tip. This works great with a light fleece & still has a fitted look. If you want to layer up with a heavy fleece, don't be afraid to size up. I'm getting another in XXL. Besides...now they have GREEN!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great anorak RETURNS! As the name implies this is the "CLASSIC" anorak that LLBean had over 30 years ago. I know because decades ago I bought two. My maroon anorak, sun faded, I wore as the only item while kayaking in the Okefenokee Swamp in SE Georgia. Friends on the trip said "Aren't you hot!?" No, I said, this wicks sweat away quickly and keeps me cool. The material used then was "summit cloth" while this tag says "supplex". Feels similar, comfort of cotton but windproof and rain resistant. I've also worn it as an over garment; layering polar fleece underneath. FANTASTIC garment. FINALLY came back!!
