Rated 1 out of 5 by from Heel Patch Wonderful great feeling slipper, UNTIL I took my socks off, there is a leather heel pad, sewn in above the fleece, wouldn't be bad, but LL Bean in their quest to put their name on everything everywhere, actually etched the letters "LL BEAN" into the leather patch, feels like I'm walking on sand, just over the heel. I want to reach down to see what's in there every time I put them on. HORRIBLE DESIGN FLAW. Why do you have to put your name everywhere? It's on the outside just above the heel, but that's not enough, got to put it in the shoe as well. I SENT THEM BACK.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slippers I had a pair of LL Bean slippers, fuzzy on the outside, full wrap-around at the heal. Excellent slippers. But we needed to keep them at our summer place. So we looked for the same thing. Nope, long gone. We did pick a silimlar-looking pair and we were more than pleasantly surprised. Perfect fit, good grip on wet or uneven surfaces, and best of all, fantastic heel lift (in my case, to prevent plantar fasciitis.) and arch support. The wrap-around heel construction is perfect, so they don’t come off unless I want them to come off. I highly recommend them. LL Bean, please don’t discontinue them. Ever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best yet Been buying Bean slips for well over 30 years. There have been some good and some not so good. But these slips here I bought for me and the bride Dec. 2019 are without a doubt the best slips Bean has made. I am retired and wear my slips everyday throughout the year. I could go on and on about these slips but bottom line they are still like new even today after wearing over 300 days and nights take out the garbage etc. Bean have made improvements for durability. The leather heal emblem was a good move because that is where my others use to wear out. We are very happy with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High Quality with Small Sizing Just got these in today, so this is a first impression. The build quality seems excellent. Leather and stitching are all thick and tight. The lower is actually quite thick and durable. Overall the build quality is exactly what I wanted and actually surpasses what I expected. The sizing however is where I knock these. I wear a 13 Wide in everything. I ordered the size 13 and they fit like a 12 Narrow. The length is manageable since its an open back and I am hoping these stretch out. I would definitely size up 1-2 sizes. I wish they offered these in wide. Will see if they break in nicely. I'm keeping them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable Slipper I had been searching for a slipper with a sturdy sole and a separate insole, so I could add my own special insoles I use to help with my flat feet issues. These slippers have worked out well. Initially, I replaced the insole that came with the slippers with just my special ones, but once the slippers loosened up with a few week's wear, I added the warmer lined insoles over mine, and they are working out just fine. The soles are great for stepping out into the snowy backyard with our Shih Tzu when an actual walk is not necessary. Hopefully, I will get many seasons of use from these slippers. Also like the navy blue color!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice slippers, but stinky! I love the look and feel of these slippers, but they smell like mildew or chemicals...something strong and very unpleasant. The first pair I purchased was too big, and I was glad to exchange them, as I thought that perhaps the smell was specific to that pair. However, the replacement is also smelly. I believe it has something to do with the way the leather was processed. My wife is bothered by the smell, also. I’ve let them air outside for several days, and they still stink. I don’t know if others have experienced this issue. If you struggle with migraines or are otherwise sensitive to strong smells, I would suggest choosing a different option. I’ve been buying LL Bean merchandise for 30 years and have never had an issue before. This is kind of strange and disappointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Low quality slipper for price I was tiered of going through 1-2 pairs of slippers a year. In the past I've always bought cheap slippers online or at the big box store. I was tiered of throwing slippers in the landfill. So I decided to buy what I thought was going to be a high quality pair from LL Bean, that I assumed would last a lot longer. Was I wrong they started falling apart about 30 days in, and after 45 days the top is falling splitting making it hard to use with out tripping. These slippers cost 3 times what I would normally buy, but they lasted a fraction of the time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too small. I have had the same shoe size my entire adult life. I ordered these because of favorable reviews. Since there are no half sizes, I ordered the next "up" size. I always wear socks in shoes and slippers (socks absorb sweat and can be washed), otherwise they stink after awhile and have to be discarded (waste of money). With these slippers, my big toe hits the front, they are tight in width, and they're a half size bigger than my shoe size. Without socks they are a better fit. I'll keep them (too much of a hassle to send them back. And the next size up would be too large), because the insole is removable and I can wear them without socks, then replace the insole with Odor Eaters.
