Women's True Shape Jeans, Straight-Leg is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 878.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit, great comfort! These are the best jeans yet! I've ordered many jeans from L.L. Bean over the years and always appreciated how they did not gap at the back and were comfortable whether I was sitting or walking. But these are the most flattering jeans ever! They make my rather straight middle-aged shape look younger because they fit well - not too loosely - in the behind and thighs while still coming up high enough that my midriff is contained. The fabric is of a weight that I can wear them in spring and fall and in the evenings during the summer. At 5'3", the petite size is the right length for me. I'm ordering another pair right away before these jeans disappear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect Years ago, L.L. Bean offered curvy fit jeans. They were perfect. Since they were discontinued, I've had a very difficult time finding L.L. Bean jeans that fit. The favorite fit jeans are awful on those of us who no longer have the same shape we did in our 20s and before kids. Even the classic fit, such as these, are no replacement for curvy fit. These fit through the hips and thighs (fitted without being skinny jeans), but require taking them in at the back waistband. Given the variety of styles and fits, you'd think there would be something for those of us with what seamstresses refer to as a "sway back". Nice jeans, but could fit better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable pants These pants are better than the last comfort pants from a few years ago. However I would recommend that you go down a size as they stretch some after wearing. The legs do not sag and hold their slimming shape. The material is almost as good as a 100% cotton pant. They do not feel as heavy or clingy as the last pants did a few years ago. Pretty good pant. I hope that they make a capri to match, I need some. I usually wear a size 10, however I had to exchange them for an 8. Also the black 10's are as another customer said smaller than the blue jean ones so I can wear the 10 in the black. Remember that if you order the black jeans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable, great quality I have purchased the True Shape Favorite Fit jeans (boot cut and slim leg) in the past and love them. Now that LL Bean offers these jeans in the straight leg as well (although only in the classic fit), I thought I would try them. I wear the boot cut in size 2 regular, and the slim leg in regular 4, all of which fit perfectly. Unfortunately, size 4 in the straight leg is a little too baggy in the seat and thigh, so I returned them. I was really skeptical about the classic fit but actually like it very much, except for the problem areas. I have reordered the jeans in size 2 regular and hope that the smaller size will do the trick.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Furious re size inconsistency I’ve bought these jeans in stonewashed, size 12 and love the perfect fit and straight leg style. I just ordered a pair in black, and unfortunately did not try these on before leaving on a trip. Checked only that it was correct size/style. So, here I am, miles from home, and I try to put on these jeans and find they are at least a full size too small, and fit like tight leggings down the legs. The black size 12 fit/style is nothing like the blue. I can’t use these, and brought nothing else on the trip. I’m furious at LL Bean for such inconsistent sizing within the same product line. Shame on me for trusting them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Front Pockets Are Half-Size I started wearing men's jeans years ago when the inseam of women's jeans was always too short. After losing a lot of weight, I decided to give a pair of women's jeans a try, especially now that the inseam is included in the item details. The jeans are comfortable, wash well, and are the right length. Why 3 stars? Because the front pockets are half-size at best! I actually use the pockets in my pants and the pockets in these jeans are useless. There's no such thing as just grabbing these jeans when I get dressed because I now have to think about my entire day and whether I'll need full-sized pockets. It may seem a small thing, but it's enough to keep me from purchasing these jeans again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from consistency needed I like the True Shape jeans and have several pairs. Overall they are comfortable and well styled. However, in both fit and fabric quality, they vary over both style and color. In some styles, for example, the classic fit waist is good, but in others it is too big, and the jeans slide down a bit. Similarly, I wear a different size in boot cut vs. straight leg, though the fit style is the same. And the white fabric on the ones I've gotten is of better quality than the blue, and black is the best fabric. Bean needs to manufacture all the jeans in a certain line in the same location so that they are consistent over the whole line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally, straight leg jeans! LL Bean has finally given us the True Shape jeans in a straight leg. I have several pairs of the slim leg, which for me, is too snug in the lower leg, and several pairs of the boot cut, which is too flared. I liked the jeans as they fit well and are comfortable, but I didn't like the slim or flare, the straight leg is perfect. The only thing that I find in all of these jeans is that the blacks fit smaller than the rinsed or stonewashed, so I got these in a size up, which are a bit loose, but I know will shrink up a bit in the dryer just as all the others have. Very happy with these straight leg jeans.
